Feeling lost or out of place? This story reminds you that you’re not where you are by accident — God has a purpose for you, right where you are. 🌿
✨ Eunike Story Episode 2: Not Here by Chance
Have you ever found yourself in a place that feels completely different from home?
Different language, different people, different everything. If yes, then you probably know — it’s not as easy as it looks.
When I first moved to another country, I thought I’d handle it well. I’ve moved several times since I was a kid, so I figured I was good at adapting. But living abroad? That’s a whole different story.
At the beginning, everything felt exciting. New food, new people, new places — it felt like one big adventure.
But slowly, that excitement started to fade… and reality began to sink in.
I remember being surrounded by people but not understanding what they were saying. It made me feel so alone. Sometimes I’d listen to conversations and my head would start to ache, because my brain was trying so hard to catch even a few familiar words.
I’d walk into a store and couldn’t find what I was looking for. The brands, the packaging, even the simplest ingredients — all looked unfamiliar. And when I tried to make jokes and people didn’t get them, that’s when it hit me… “Wow, I’m really not home anymore.”
Culture shock is real.
It’s invisible, but it slowly drains you — your energy, your confidence, and sometimes, even your sense of identity. There were days I’d cry alone and ask God, “Why am I here? Did I make the right decision? Would life be easier if I just stayed where I came from?”
I kept asking Him for clarity — for a reason that made sense. But what I got wasn’t a clear explanation.
It was a slow, gentle process of understanding.
Over time, things started to change. Not because everything around me suddenly became easier,
but because my heart began to see something deeper.
I realized that I wasn’t here just because of the choices I made.
I was here because God brought me here.
Not by accident.
Not by chance.
But by purpose.
And when that truth started to settle in my heart, everything else began to make sense. The frustrations I faced turned into lessons. The loneliness I felt became an invitation — to draw closer to God, to know Him in a deeper way.
And little by little, this unfamiliar place started to feel like home.
Now, when I look back, I see how God was weaving His plan all along. Every challenge, every moment of confusion, was shaping me into someone who could trust Him more. Because that’s what He does. He brings us to places not just for comfort, but for growth, purpose, and transformation.
Wherever He leads,
His presence and His purpose go with us.
So even when life takes us somewhere unexpected — even when it’s hard, confusing, or lonely — we can hold on to this truth: God never misplaces us.
He never leads us without reason. We are never “just” somewhere. We are sent there.
💛 A Little Reflection
If you’re in a season where you feel lost or unsure, wondering, “Why am I here?”
Remember this — you are not where you are by mistake. You are there because God has a plan.
He’s not just the Author of your story — He’s also walking with you through every chapter.
Take heart. You may not understand the “why” yet,
but one day, you’ll look back and see how every detail fits beautifully into His greater purpose for your life.
📖 Bible Verse
“The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me;
Your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever.”
— Psalm 138:8
🌿 Final Thought
So wherever you are today — whether it’s a new place, a new season, or just a new challenge you didn’t expect — remember this truth: You are not here by chance.
You are here by purpose. And God’s presence is right there with you. 💛
