It was such a wonderful and unforgettable moment having our honeymoon in Bali. Traveling to Bali together is always our dream because Bali is a very beautiful and romantic island. My husband and I were in a long-distance relationship for 3 years and we’ve been through a lot of challenges before our wedding day.
And yay finally after we got married we decided to travel to Bali for our honeymoon last May.
Our First Trip to Bali Indonesia
So this was our first travel together and it turned out to be a very special and unforgettable journey for us.
As a long-distance couple, we often did travel to see each other. Gerard visited Indonesia and I visited the Philippines. But thanks to traveloka who makes our travel easier.
Before we travel to Bali, I did research on traveloka about flight tickets, hotels and where are the best places in Bali to visit. It’s good also because I can get important information about travel regulations during the pandemic.
So, after all the preparation is done and the day came, we were ready to travel…to Bali!! Yay.. so excited ๐ Here are some places we visit in Bali.

Day 1: Romantic Sunset
We were supposed to arrive early morning but there was a problem with our flight so we arrived in Bali in the afternoon already. Even though there was a problem, the airlines did a good job and good service also, there wasn’t any passenger who complained.
From the airport, we had lunch first then check in at the hotel at 2 pm. We decided to take a nap after the long and tiring flight. We skipped some of the destinations we planned to visit.
But that’s okay we want to enjoy our time here and if we are too tired and sleepy we will not able to enjoy our time together.

We stay at Kuta during our trip to Bali. The hotel is near Kuta Beach, the airport, and some other beautiful places here. Finding the right hotel is very important for travel. Find a hotel with a good review, good price, and also near many good places in Bali.
After we woke up we went to Kuta beach for a walk only because it’s near. We hope that we still can see the sunset there. We were a little bit late, it was quite dark already but for me, the beach looks so romantic.
Especially since I was with my love there, Kuta beach looks so romantic and magical.

If you plan to visit Bali I recommend you to visit Kuta Beach, you won’t regret it.
From the beach, we went for a walk at Jalan Pantai Kuta (Kuta Beach Street). There were so many people walking there and many street foods and cafe beside the street. Walking there while holding hands and enjoying the beach sounds and winds just felt perfect.

Then we stopped by Beachwalk Shopping Center. It’s a place where you can do shopping or eat or just enjoy some beautiful spot with your loved one.
We walked around, buy some food, took some pictures and we went back to the hotel.

This was our first day here in Bali.
Traveling with my husband for the first time in such a beautiful place: Bali, feel like a dream. It was a wonderful unforgettable moment in the most beautiful place.
Day 2: The Beauty of Ubud Bali
We woke up early, took breakfast, and got ready to go. On this day we had 4 places to visit. We decided to ride motorcycles, to enjoy more travel and because our destinations are better if we go there by motorcycle. We rent that motorcycle for 24 hours for only IDR 80.000 and bought the gasoline for only around IDR 20.000 for the whole day.
From Kuta, we need almost one hour to go to Monkey Forest in Ubud. It was my husband’s first time in Bali so he didn’t drive so fast.
Monkey Forest
We visited this place because my husband likes seeing monkeys, especially in the forest and actually it became his first time seeing monkeys in the forest.
The forest is still natural and there are so many monkeys there.
To be safe, we are always being reminded to not look the monkey in the eyes. They will attack if we look at their eyes.
Also, we can’t give them food and don’t bring some stuff that can distract them like drinking water bottles or plastic bags.

We did enjoy the nature there. It’s very refreshing in the forest and also exciting walking around the monkeys. We paid IDR 60.000 for each person for the ticket. It’s not that expensive and all worth it.
Saraswati Temple
From the Monkey Forest, we took lunch first then we stopped by Saraswati Temple.
Not that far, around 30 minutes from the Monkey Forest.
If you come to Bali, you will see many temples everywhere.
We need to make sure to respect and avoid any impolite attitude when we are around the temple.

What we love about this temple is the lotus around the temples that makes the place more beautiful. Also, it’s free to visit this temple, no need to pay for the ticket.
Tegenungan Waterfall
From Saraswati Temple, we continued our trip to Tegenungan Waterfall.
It took around 45 minutes to be there.
We love the view on our trip to go to the waterfall, many rice fields, and many trees.
We arrived there, and after paying for the ticket then we walk going down to see the waterfall.
It’s not that far then finally we were there.
We were amazed by the waterfall, difficult to describe the beauty.

After we enjoyed the waterfall we then get back to continue our trip. But wow, now we need to climb the stairs and it was so so tiring.
But still, we didn’t regret visiting the waterfall. It’s all so worth it. The ticket here is also just cheap. We paid IDR 10.000 only for each person.
Sanur Beach
Time flies so fast, it’s almost dark already.
On our way back to the hotel we stopped by first at Sanur Beach to enjoy the sunset there.
We never felt bored enjoying the sunset in Bali.

Day 3: Too Good for Good Bye
On the third day, we only spent time swimming at the hotel, walked around near the hotel, bought some oleh-oleh & prepared for our flight going to my hometown.
Bye Bali, see you next time.
